Montessori Academy has been proudly providing exceptional early childhood education since 1979 for children ages 2-6.

We are conveniently located close to 101, 680 and Capitol Expressway in San Jose. We are open Monday thru Friday from 6AM to 6PM

For more than 32 years, Montessori Academy has been dedicated to providing children with the right environment that stimulates learning; discover the joy of learning and ‘Creating the desire for learning’.  Our Montessori environment is a child-centered environment designed to meet the needs, interests, abilities, and development of the child in the class. We design and adapt the environment to the community of children in the class, rapidly modifying the selection of educational materials available, the physical layout, and the tone of the class to best fit the ever changing needs of our children. 

All children progress at their own pace and move to the next step in every area of learning as they are each ready to do so. Therefore, the focus in our Montessori class is on individual progress and development.  We believe that learning takes place through various senses, with lots of personal hands-on contact and either real things under study or with concrete learning materials that bring abstract concepts to life which allow children to learn with a much deeper understanding. 

In addition to our equipment, we also teach via individual workbooks that provide the child with a complete set of tools to aid in the absorption process.  Our goal is to make learning fun, effective and meaningful. 

Our academic program is combined with tons of fun events and activities like music and movement, cooking, arts and crafts, and events like International Night, beach party, Valentine dance, and many many more. Your children will love their experience at Montessori Academy.

Our Facility

The facility includes a separate and large playground area for each program, large classrooms, library as well as a kitchen used to provide snacks for children. We offer snacks in the morning and afternoons consisting of healthy and nutritious foods.

You wiill find Montessori Academy to be one large family with supportive and passionate staff members, clean facilities, enriching environment and most importantly, happy children.
