Our Program

Montessori Academy is the premier pre-school and kindergarten program in San Jose, California. We have been caring for children since 1979. We offer Potty Learning, Preschool and Kindergarten programs.

Potty Learning Program

Children in our potty learning program enjoy smaller class size where individual attention is given to each child being potty trained.  Children are encouraged in a positive setting where they learn to develop better hand-eye coordination, large motor skills via music and movement, lots of arts and crafts and exposed to an environment where they are free to explore.   Our parents are given daily reports about their child showing the progress of potty learning as well as the behavior of their child.  On-going communication with our parents is key to the success of the child.

Preschool Program

Children in our preschool program are exposed to a well prepared environment that consists of circle time, academics, arts and craft, music and movement, and introduction to science and geography.  Children learn via various hands-on experiences like cooking, experimenting and organized sports.  Phonics and Counting are an everyday experience for our preschool children.  Our parents are given daily reports about their child’s progress, including eating, sleeping and activities.   The key to the child's success is one-on-one attention every day.

Kindergarten Program

Our Kindergarten program is comprised of Kinder-4, Kinder-5 and Kinder-6 programs.  Each child works one-on-one with their teacher on a daily basis on reading, math, science, geography, history, arts and crafts, music and movement, computers, games, cooking, as well as becoming a big brother or sister to a younger students.  Children are taught responsibility and respect for their peers, love and care for their younger friends and appreciation of their environment.  Children participate in various projects throughout the year such as recycling, public speaking, concept of team play via game days, and caring for their environment.
